Principal System Architect - Pega Platform (Remote)

We require that all candidates for this role hold Pega certifications, including Pega Certified System Architect (CSA), Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA), and Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA). Candidates must also be based in the U.S. and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

WHO ARE YOU?

You are a Principal System Architect with extensive experience in leading the design, development, and implementation of complex, enterprise-level solutions using the Pega platform. You excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that technical solutions align with business objectives and client needs. Your expertise in Pega architecture and leadership capabilities make you a go-to advisor for large-scale projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead architectural design and implementation of Pega-based solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and high-quality deliverables that align with client expectations.
  • Drive technical excellence by establishing best practices, frameworks, and methodologies for Pega solution development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and clients to define technical strategies, project scope, and objectives, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standards.
  • Mentor and guide a team of system architects, providing oversight on design, configuration, testing, and delivery of complex solutions.
  • Ensure reusability and portability of enterprise solutions by adhering to Pega best practices and leveraging the full potential of the Pega platform.
  • Lead efforts in performance tuning, scalability testing, and system optimization, ensuring the robustness and efficiency of Pega solutions in production environments.
  • Participate in high-level decision-making with project leaders, providing expert guidance on scope management, risk assessment, and technical problem-solving.
  • Drive innovation by staying current with emerging technologies and trends in the Pega ecosystem, and applying this knowledge to improve client solutions.
  • Facilitate and lead workshops and meetings with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of technical concepts and project updates.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Provide thought leadership and contribute to the strategic growth of Stratosphere Consulting by identifying new opportunities and expanding service offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • US Citizenship required
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in building and implementing enterprise-level business solutions, with a focus on Pega
  • Deep expertise in Pega architecture, design, and implementation, including hands-on experience with large-scale Pega implementations
  • Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented techniques and principles, as well as experience leading teams in Agile and Scrum environments
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide a team of system architects and developers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and clients
  • Pega certifications, including Pega Certified System Architect (CSA), Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA), and Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION 
 

  • Industry or functional domain expertise
  • Experience in Intelligent Automation and/or Customer Engagement
  • Prior consulting or client services delivery experience


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a Remote position.You are welcome to work anywhere in the United States, so long as you’re willing and able to travel domestically to meet clients, as needed.
